Beehive Hairstyle for Super Long Hair

Hello friends,

Yesterday I wanted to try a simple-but-still-fancy hairstyle, so I pinned up a poofy section with the front part of my hair closest to my face. I put all of my hair into a mid-low ponytail, and was planning on wrapping everything up into a bun. I wasn't looking in the mirror, and when I checked to see the result one section of my bun had spread out over the bobby pins on top of my head. I liked the look of this big wavy bun~ it reminded me of an imitation beehive~ so I clipped everything in place and was ready for the day :-)

Sixties' Updo

I love the styles of the sixties! Today my hair-do had a 60s-style bump~ the side braids are lace Dutch braids. A very fun hairstyle!

Double 4-Strand French Braids~ my look for today

Hey friends,

Today I wanted something that appeared simple but was still dressy~ I chose two 4-strand French braids with a side bun. I love these braids because one side looks like a French braid and the other side looks like a Dutch braid. Look closely and see if you can tell what I am talking about...

Wavy Herringbone Braid Updo

Hello everybody,

My hairstyle for today~ a French-braided herringbone braid, wrapped around a wavy rope-braid bun and held in place with bobby pins. I love herringbone (fishtail) braids!

Spiral Rope Braid

Hello everyone,

I watched Lilith Moon's amazing tutorial on this spiral twisted braid and tried it myself. Well, either my hair is too long or I just don't have the coordination it takes to braid in a spiral pattern around my own head. So I came up with a faux-version of this hairstyle that I actually really like! Instead of starting the spiral braid in the center back of my head, I started in the upper left-hand corner and braided around the outer edge, leaving the hair in the middle out of my braid to be added in later. When I had finally finished adding all my hair, I finished the rope braid and wrapped the length of the braid around my head, between the French-rope braided sections. I held everything in place with bobby pins, and my hair is still up and in place tonight.
